Deck Wash - Level 2 Enhanced Boat Clean
Enhanced cleaning for boats that need a deeper deck wash.
Service Description
Routine washdowns eventually hit a limit. As the season progresses, sunscreen, sweat, and environmental grime bond with the deck's non-skid and vinyl seating. Enhanced Boat Deck Wash Level - Level 2 is an enhanced boat deck cleaning service designed for vessels needing a deeper, targeted intervention to safely reset the surface. A simple rinse cannot cut through bonded body oils or moderate buildup. Leaving this grime on vinyl leads to permanent degradation and pinking. We address the deck as a multi-material system where hard fiberglass and soft enclosures require entirely different chemistry. We begin with a fresh water rinse to float away loose debris—because physics always comes before chemistry. We then apply a stronger eco-friendly marine detergent to the non-skid using medium-bristle brushes to safely agitate moderate grime. For vinyl seating and clear enclosures, we switch strictly to vinyl-safe cleaners and microfiber cloths to lift oils without degrading the material's UV resistance. Finally, a top-down low-pressure rinse is followed by complete microfiber drying to prevent hard water spots. This is strictly a cleaning service. It explicitly excludes surface restoration, gelcoat oxidation removal, deep stain correction, and heavy fallout recovery. It does not include cleaning the interior of deck lockers. Success means a genuinely clean non-skid, non-sticky seating, and streak-free windows. When non-skid holds embedded black dirt that medium brushing won't lift, or mold begins appearing inside your deck lockers, Level 2 chemistry is no longer sufficient, signaling an honest handoff to our intensive Deck Wash Level 3. FAQ Section • Do you clean the inside of deck lockers during a Level 2 wash? No. Level 2 focuses on exposed deck surfaces, vinyl seating, and windows. Deep cleaning the interior of deck lockers requires a different chemical approach and time allotment, which is covered under Deck Wash Level 3. • Will this service restore faded or chalky gelcoat? No. Deck Wash Level 2 is strictly a cleaning service designed to remove bonded grime. Restoring shine and correcting oxidized gelcoat requires physical abrasion and is covered in our Deck Polishing services. • How long does a Deck Wash Level 2 take? It generally requires 45–60 minutes for an average 30-foot boat, though time varies depending on your specific deck layout, contamination level, and the amount of canvas or seating present
