Spike's Marine Station
A Community Hub and Climate Change Incubator – Discover. Connect. Protect.
Community Connection
Our floating hub is designed to unite people through shared environmental values, with spaces for learning, recreation, and connection to the water
Environmental Stewardship
Through hands-on education in our Water Lab and sustainable practices in our Indoor Gardens, we empower visitors to actively participate in protecting Ontario’s waters
Cultural Awareness
Honoring indigenous knowledge and traditions, Spike’s Marine Station offers immersive experiences like the VR Friendship Centre, fostering respect for water’s sacred role in our heritage
Commercial Destination
Spike’s is also a premier destination for boaters, brokers, and manufacturers—a place where marine services, sales, and supplies converge to support a thriving, eco-conscious boating community
The missed opportunity
In 2019, Spike's Marine Station launched a crowdfunding campaign and submitted a bid to be part of the Ontario Place Redevelopment—both of which were unfortunately unsuccessful.
Yet, this only strengthened our commitment to create a hub for environmental stewardship, cultural celebration, and sustainable marine services.
Today, we continue our journey with a renewed vision to bring this resource to life for Ontario’s waterfront community.
