Level 1 Routine Boat Hull Wash
Basic hull wash to maintain a clean and smooth surface.
Service Description
The hull is a critical hydrodynamic surface of your vessel, constantly battling mineral runoff, salt, and light marine growth. Hull Wash Level 1 is a routine boat hull wash designed for well-maintained boats that simply need a light, effective reset. Whether you are clearing away a faint trail of hard water spots under your AC discharge or ensuring the fiberglass is clear of soap runoff after a deck wash, this service preserves your boat's baseline appearance and performance. We use a targeted brush-and-rinse method to treat the hull safely. Technicians utilize soft-bristle brushes and low-pressure hoses to remove surface dirt, dust, and light unbonded marine growth strictly from the waterline up to the deck. Physics always comes before chemistry, so we focus on safely floating away loose debris rather than using aggressive scrubbing that could compromise your existing wax or ceramic coating. Honesty is our policy: this is strictly a light maintenance wash. It explicitly excludes removing heavy marine growth, yellow tannin "lake mustache" stains, or deep black streaks. It will not correct gelcoat oxidation, and it does not include cleaning underwater surfaces. Success means a hull that is clean to the touch and visually refreshed. If your hull holds stubborn grime and green slime along the foul line that a soft brush cannot remove, Level 1 is no longer sufficient, signaling an honest handoff to the targeted scrubbing of Hull Wash Level 2. FAQ Section • Will this wash remove the brown stain on my waterline? No. Level 1 is a routine wash for loose dirt and soap runoff. The brown "lake mustache" requires the intensive chemistry of our Hull Wash Level 3. • Does this service include scrubbing the bottom of the boat? No. Hull washes strictly address the area from the waterline up to the deck. Underwater growth and fouling removal are covered under our Bottom Prep services. • How long does a Hull Wash Level 1 take? It requires a minimum of 1 hour for an average 30-foot boat, depending on the current hull condition and dockside access.
